Veliko Tarnovo - Shumen - Varna - Kazanlak - Plovdiv

1st Day ;
• Arrival at Sofia airport.
• Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.
• In the afternoon sightseeing tour of Sofia- St Nedelya Cathedral, St George Rotunda, Russian Church of St. Nicolas, St. Sophia Church, St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Ivan Vazov National Theater.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Sofia.
2nd Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Lyaskovets. Arrival in the wine cellar in Lyaskovets.
• Lunch and wine tasting of some of the mosta famous products of the brand- natural sparkling wines, sparkling wines infused with herbs, dessert wines, wormwood wine, dry white and red wines from different vintages, collectors editions and some of the best Bulgarian grape brandies.
• Continuing our road to Veliko Tarnovo- capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire. Sightsseing tour of the city- Tssssarevets Hill, Samovodska Charshia.
• Possibility to attend the show “Sound and Light” on Tsarevets hill (extra).
• Dinner and overnight stay in Veliko Tarnovo.

3rd Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Shumen. A visit to the Madara River, an impressive monument from the early middle ages, the time of the First Bulgarian Empire. This stone relief depicts a majestic horseman- 23 m above ground level in an almost vertical 100 m high cliff on the Northwest slope of the Madara Plateau. It dates back to the year 710 AC. The inscriptions on it tell the story of events that took place in the period of 705-831. It is included in the UNESCO List of Cultural Heritage.
• Arrival in Shumen. Lunch.
• Sightseeing tour of the city. Visit to the Tombul Mosque, which is the biggest mosque in Bulgaria and the second biggest on the Balkan Peninsula.
• Accommodation at the hotel.
• Dinner and wine tasting in Shumen.
• Overnight stay in Shumen.

4th Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Varna, the third largest city in the country after Sofia and Plovdiv located at the north of the Black Sea Shore. Arrival and sightseeing tour of Varna- Dormition of the Theotokos Cathedral and Roman Therms.
• Lunch
• In the afternoon a visit to the Archeological Museum, where the famous Varna golden treasure is exhibited- the oldest processed gold in the world (more than 600 years old). Organized visit to Chateau Euxinograd, built in 1891 for the needs of the royal family and their guests.
• Wine tasting in the palace’s cellars. 
• Return to Varna.
• Accommodation at the hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Varna. 

5th Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Kazanlak. Arrival.
• Lunch.
• A visit to the Rose Museum, which has unique exhibits relevant to the production of rose oli from the year 1660 until today; a visit to the Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak. The tomb is part of a great Thracian necropolis that dates back to the 4th century BC. It has been part of the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage since 1979.
• Accommodation at the hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Kazanlak.

6th Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Starosel. Visit of the biggest Thracian royal complex with mausoleum dating from 5th- 4th century B.C. 
• Visit of the winery of Starosel.
• Lunch with wine  tasting.
• Continue our road to Plovdiv- the second largest city in Bulgaria and one of the European’s most ancient cities, older than Athens, Rome and Costantinople. A tour of the old town which consists of one of the most spectacular ensembles of town houses from the period of the Bulgarian National revival. Visit to the Saints Constantine and Helena Church, Roma Theatre, Regional Ethnografic Museum.
• Accommodation at the hotel.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Plovdiv.

7th Day ;
• Breakfast.
• Departure to Sofia via Rila Monastery. A visit of Rila Monastery- the largest monastery in Bulgaria, founded in the 10th century by the monk and hermit St. John of Rila, patron and protector of Bulgaria. The monastery served as the center for cultural and spiritual life of the Bulgarian people, during the centuries of foreign enslavement. The tour includes a visit to the monastery, the main church and the monastery museum.
• Lunch.
• Continuing our road to Sofia. Arrival in Sofia.
• Accommodation at the hotel.
• Dinner in a typical restaurant with folklore programme.
• Overnight stay in Sofia.

8th Day ;

• Breakfast.
• Time at leisure in Sofia.
• Lunch.
• Transfer to the airport.
• Departure.
